Pros

There were no pros to my employment here.

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE. They just had a round (or 2?) of layoffs. No one was aware the company was doing so poorly and then they fired people with no warning. They lied and told us the company was ok and it clearly was not. And they are certainly still doing very poorly because everyone's yearly raise was roughly 1%. That low of a raise coupled with the fact that they already pay BELOW community standards is ridiculous. They are liars, manipulators, and exploiting their employees. They will low-ball your salary, you will not get a yearly raise that is commensurate with your year of contributions to the company or one that keeps with the current market, you will not be able to believe what they say about your job stability, and they will use you up then fire you.

Pros

Amazing welcoming team, lots of knowledgeable and supportive people. Great company culture, just the right amount of chaos. Arizona is an older market that is rebuilding. Learn something new every day including how the different moving parts in healthcare fit together. Lots of freedom to be creative in your approach to pushing the company mission forward. The company is willing to put a lot of resources behind achieving their Medicare advantage goals including training for employees, financial incentives for employees and providers, gift cards to patients for getting preventive care, etc.

Cons

Have to deal with rebuilding the company reputation in an older market (AZ) after some strategic changes and bad old contracts. If you want a ton of infrastructure, consistency in what your day to day looks like, and clear path forward, it probably isn’t the company for you. If you like to get deep in the weeds, try new things, and invest heavily in building relationships in a sometimes ambiguous environment, you’ll enjoy it. It’s an older company with a lot of newer employees. No CRM so you’ll live out of spreadsheets and self made resources. Pay is great but the role takes a big piece of your life. It’s not a clock out and don’t think about it again until Monday kind of role.
