Pros

This is the Cadillac of the industry in terms of training. You will learn a lot and learn it the right way. The facility is very nice and fellow employees are generally nice people and fun to work with.

Cons

I found it extremely stressful in terms of work life balance. The number of hours per week that line management expected an employee to work was unreasonable, especially for salaried employees. It was not at all unusual to be working 12 hour days and then they still wanted more. Employees who chose to work their standard 40 hours were harrassed by line management and made to feel like they would lose their job. It was very stressful from that perspective.

Advice to Management

Staff a project appropriately to give employees a better work life balance. Contractors may love the overtime because they are earning time and a half, but salaried employees are losing out. Be thankful for the overtime an employee freely gives and don't pressure the employee for more.

    Pros

Diverse work environment. Has all the advantages of both a small company and a large corporation, e.g. great benefits but you can still get get to know the people you work with.

    Cons

PAREXEL as a company is in a difficult spot, smaller than their biggest competitors to gain efficiencies from economies of scale but still more bureaucratic than their smaller competitors.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Decent Health Care Plan
3 Weeks Pay Time Off when you start

    Cons

PM are very demanding. They just need another someone to get things done.
Management does not know how to manage the crazy demands.
Management does not care about your career growth.
Insufficient time in development results in low quality work
Too Many PMs who does not know why the applications work

    Advice to Management

The group is run by PM who does not understand the software development life cycle. The PMs are depending on developers in how to use the applications. They want to make the stock holder happy by over working the employees.
