    I have been working at PEAK Technical Staffing USA full-time

    Pros

    The company is attempting to be "forward-thinking" and recently started to hire new grads rather than seasoned recruiters. For contract and contract to hire positions, it's a team pool, so it's not a bloodbath in the office and builds teamwork. Managers are approachable, patient and willing to teach if you are willing to learn.

    Cons

    The new grad training program, reading materials and training modules are pretty worthless and is pure busy work. It's the one-on-one training with managers and actually doing the job that improves performance.

    The company is run by "old timers" with a traditional mindset which doesn't compliment the company's attempt at being forward-thinking. The company believes in overtime and hard work. The younger generation the company brought onboard is taught to work smart, not hard. We work efficiently and quickly. We're computer savvy, able type at lightning speed, fast learners and complete most tasks in a third or half the time compared to older generation in the work place. It's mandatory to work a minimum of 4 hours overtime on salary and this goes back to working hard. If you're working smart, you would be able to work efficiently and make the most out of 40 hour work week. Most employees will stay overtime regardless, but making overtime mandatory makes the workplace feel like a prison.

    The company is bringing managers and consultants from failing competitors to run the company.

    Corporate asks for feedback often, but change is hardly ever implemented considering that upper manager is set in their ways.

    Advice to Management

    Great job on creating a team environment by introducing a team pool and team bonuses.

    Bring winning younger management team players from successful companies to align Peak with modern day values and to keep Peak competitive.

    Careful not to burnout employees by overworking them.
