Pros

No pros that stand out. They offer nothing that you can't get somewhere else.

Cons

Where do I start? Poor management. Poor workplace environment. Low pay. No benefits. Overpriced low quality product. The worst part is they know all of this is true and don't care.

Being a company of 19 people has its downsides, one of the upsides however is that you get to know everyone on the team pretty closely. This is not a review by someone currently at PUSH. With that being said, we will try to address your review regardless: Poor management. Ouch. We try our best to keep learning and get better as leaders within PUSH. If you thought poorly of our management, we wish you said something during our 360 reviews or during our frequent catch ups. We're taking this message to heart regardless and are focussing on reviewing our management structure internally. Poor workplace environment. This one is a little vague, we wish you were a bit more specific so we could fix or address whichever issue you had with our workplace. Low pay. We try our best to keep up with the ever more competitive Toronto market, we advertise our salaries clearly and visibly to everyone before they join so we hope you weren't surprised on the way in. No benefits. Yes, we do not have any traditional health benefits. Like many small businesses of our size with no permanent HR, we're not in a position to be able to offer health benefits. We're clear and transparent about this from the outset and try our best to make up for it with work from home flexibility, unlimited vacations as well as healthy office snacks and a free gym membership. Overpriced low quality product. That really hurts! We've spent most of our waking hours building PUSH up to what it is, a proud sport wearable company in the use by over 60+ pro teams including Toronto FC, Softball Canada, many of our Canadian Olympic teams as well as countless others internationally. We have to respectfully disagree on this one. The worst part is they know all of this is true and don't care. We hope that by responding, we show that we do care deeply about your experience, about what PUSH stands for and what it can become. Keep trying. The company will prosper and become a huge success sometime between now and never. That's just a factual statement, we will become a huge success sometime between now and never, no timelines, just ambition and hard work.

Pros

The leadership is very transparent, open-minded and willing to give the employees a level of autonomy that results in a satisfying and motivating environment. You truly feel like you are a part of the team, and that you are a true contributor to the company. You can see the impact of your decisions and although it might feel stressful at times, it is an invaluable experience to learn how to navigate and balance that stress with your duties. And once you get through those times it is extremely rewarding and worth the amount of effort you put in. The environment is fast-paced, it's never a dull moment - you learn and master various tools quickly and because the company is powered by innovation there is open-mindedness to using new tools/software constantly.

Cons

Because I was the only one in my role it was easy to feel the pressure of trying to do so many tasks in a short period of time. However, because it is a start-up and everyone faces this challenge you do truly feel like a team, everyone is supporting one another and even though they might not know the full extent of what you do, they understand that what you do is important.
