Pros

Management will work with you somewhat on your schedue. You get a associate discount and immediate family get a discount.

Cons

Expect to work every weekend. The annual raises amounted to .20 to .25 cents. A promotion basically receives the same amount as the annual they may go up to .50 cents if you get lucky. If sales are down expect your hours to be cut, maybe even get sent home early. Management will also call and leave message on answering machine for you not to come in instead of calling your cell phone, so you will end up wasting gas if you like most people only check your machine after you get home. Do not expect to move up in the company unless you are a pet of the district or regional manager. Basically expect to remain in the same postion you get hired for the entire time unless a manager in your store leaves. You get little warning when the store is planning to close, 3 weeks to month at most, which really leaves no time for job hunting. Oh and nice shirt, slacks or khakis, and dress shoes even on days when you have to unload boxes. No jeans and tshirts even for this dirty task even the customers do not understand this.

Advice to Management

If someone has management potential please tell them about openings within the company so they can grow professionally. If a person has a degree, a raise of two dimes or a quarter is just disgraceful. While the company is not a work horse, some practices need rethinking. On freight days jeans and tshirts is appropriate and a nice pair of jeans on Saturday and Sunday with a nice shirt should be fine.

    Pros

They are fairly good to their employees with regards to work/life balance. Flexible scheduling, half day fridays in the summer.

    Cons

Only 10 vacation days for upwards of 5 years of employment on this company. VERY top heavy company. If you haven't put in 10, 15, 20 years at this company good luck moving up. Very well below average salaries for most employees below the middle management level. No bonuses for the lower level employees who do all the grunt work.

    Advice to Management

Very top heavy. Cut back on having 3 managers manage a department of 6 people. Very wasteful allocation of resources.

I worked at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Advice to Management
