Pros

Great, intelligent coworkers; collegial environment; learning on the job means more responsibility is given to you from the start; very competitive compensation and benefits

Cons

As with any small firm, things tend to be more unstructured; no brand name; projects are not consistently high value; not a ton of internal resources to leverage aside from human capital

    Pros

    - High caliber of staff - everyone you work with will be smart and always willing to help. There is plenty to learn from each person
    - Great people, entrepreneurial and friendly culture
    - Small firm, which means high levels of responsibility, more ownership of work and we get a lot of client face time. You won't be a desk/excel monkey (unlike at bigger firms)
    - Leadership is making effort to retain talent and shows care for its employees
    - Drama-free, with no office politics or aggressive competitiveness between folks. Everyone is striving to do their best to help each other grow and be successful

    Cons

    - Small firm, which means a lot more administrative work and less control over type of projects available to be staffed on
    - Lack of transparency in terms of compensation, bonus structure, career trajectory. Leadership is working on better communication of this though
    - This is a boutique consulting firm, with services focused on cost optimization assessment, strategy and implementation for clients. If this is not what you are interested in, you may want to go to a management consulting firm with broader categories of work.

    Advice to Management

Well done, and keep doing what you're doing to balance firm growth with talent acquisition and retainment.
