I have been working at Pacific Gas and Electric full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

PG&E has great benefits and job security. I have been able to move across groups and try different roles. It is interesting to be in a company that is in the public eye.

Cons

Projects can move slowly. It is a large company so it can be difficult to bring in all interested parties to get to a decision and move on.

Advice to Management

Focus on results. If you develop a process, make sure the process contributes towards results.

I have been working at Pacific Gas and Electric full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many of my peers are more than happy to teach me new technologies, which makes the company a great place to learn new skills. Supervisor looks after the well-being of the team.

    Cons

Many employees have been working 25+ years and are nearing retirement, so some are not as efficient as the younger folks.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with what's happening in upper management.
