I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Palo Alto Networks hires very smart people that want to make a difference. Even though the company is growing fast, there is no red tape, no BS, no politics. Benefits are great! Unlike other tech companies that innovate at the pace PANW does, you won't get burned out. The work life balance is great! I guess you just get things done faster and can leave in time when you work with smart people ;)

Cons

Vacation days are on the lower end and you can't accrue more. That's really the only downside.

Advice to Management

Increase the vacation days and accrual to match other tech companies in the valley and introduce a 401k matchup.

I worked at Palo Alto Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The technology seems to be great, but the Federal government is incredibly slow in adopting the technology, which is worrisome.

    Cons

The management is very arrogant and removed from the employee satisfaction and experience. Their sole focus was a successful IPO.

    Advice to Management

Understand the market to which you are trying to sell. Speak to the employees directly to learn. Challenge lower management to do their job.
