I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The best part of my job is my coworkers. We have a family like atmosphere.

Cons

The really early mornings aren't for everyone.

Advice to Management

We should make sure the steps we take to move us forward are indeed moving us further ahead and not just some gimmick to get people in.

I worked at Panera Bread full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The upper management was supportive of all of their managers and went out of their way to keep me happy. The ongoing, mandatory training was helpful and interesting. Upper management really stood by their motto of "no jerks." Standard 2 weeks/year pto, awesome food/drink perks, and great medical coverage

    Cons

Hours! I was required to work 10 hours a day and rarely had the opportunity to leave at the 9 or less hour mark. Opening shifts start at 5, which may be ok for early risers. The schedule was challenging because you have to wake up and go to bed at all different hours of the week. Managing teenagers was never easy either (a generational issue, not a Panera issue).

    Advice to Management

Consider 8 hour work days (scheduled), we'll work just as hard and probably be more productive. Of course there are those days we'd stay later, but it would be easier to achieve the work/life balance we all strive for.
