I have been working at Papa John's full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

You can make some decent money moving up through the ranks through your own will. Bonus program is available, and tips are common.

Cons

This job can eat up your entire life, you may not have any time off. You may be tired on your 1 or 2 days off, if you get them. Expect 50-75 hour weeks. Your staff may be low quality, because of pay.

Advice to Management

You usually get what you pay for. Give raises to those who deserve it.

I worked at Papa John's part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Relaxed environment
Depending on location I think delivery driving is the way to go though I hear you can actually make a lot less in some stores.
    Made friends

    Cons

Irresponsible franchise owners notably late pay (up to weeks at a time).
    Low morale
Moving up to manager was never worth the stuff you have to deal with.
Hours can be way less than scheduled or way more. Only worked what was on the schedule about 10% of the time.
    High school drama
Most employees had poor view of owners and upper management.

    Advice to Management

Basically needs to treat employees better.
Store managers and pretty much everyone gets frustrated with owners and upper management who barely work for their companies and still collect the paychecks.

I worked at Papa John's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some really awesome managers
    Fast paced environment
A very strong system for production
    Flexible work schedule (excluding holidays)
    50% employee discount

    Cons

Tendency to promote very young managers
    Difficult to receive promotions
    Sometimes very laborious work
Free food for complaints no matter how many times they've received free food before
    Very High turnover rate

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees if you want them to respect you. The company does not really care about the workers on the bottom but some kind of a raise for hardworking, loyal employees is something to fight for.
