Negative Outlook

I worked at Paradise Point Resort & Spa full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The resort is situated on a man made island which is very beautiful. Great idea of core values. Easy to get hired!

Cons

The rooms are habitually dirty and not up to the standard advertised creating constant complaints to the staff. Housekeeping has to clean their quota of rooms as fast as possible and they are not permitted overtime. The rooms also have a lot of mold from the environment and no proper ventilation. Positions are cut when someone leaves or gets fired instead of moving a suitable candidate into the vacant position. Wages are the lowest in the hospitality field in the area across the board. Trip Adviser score is constantly going down.

I worked at Paradise Point Resort & Spa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful location. Free parking for staff.

    Cons

Unqualified managers. No benefits. No consistency. Hotel puts employees last. No accountability. Too many daily emails about nonsense. Mediocre income

    Advice to Management

Stop rewarding yourselves with dinner and drinks, instead offer health insurance and benefits to your employees. Hire qualified managers.
