I have been working at Park Ridge Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A hospital founded on Christian beliefs which strives to care for the whole patient. Administration attempts to engage employees as partners through numerous communication forums. The annual Park Ridge Experience which is mandatory for all employees, highlights our success and reveals where we need to make improvements, informs us of the overall financial picture and lays out our plans for future growth. There are periodic town hall meetings, newsletters, emails from the president and individual department staff meetings. Individual employee complements are shared with the entire hospital staff through email.

Each department is encouraged to have a spiritual ambassador for the support and development of strong interpersonal relationships. There is a creation health coach in each department who keeps the focus on beneficial habits. Participating in the employee heath program will reduce your immediate healthcare costs and simultaneously facilitate the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. Community volunteer projects are encouraged.

There is an overall sense of camaraderie and team spirit.

    401K with 3% match.

    Cons

Expensive insurance plan. Flex off for low census (that's the nature of healthcare). Sometimes it seems that money is the first priority.

    Advice to Management

Remember, we are all on the same team.
