Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Parliament of Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Excellent working conditions, plenty of advancement opportunity, fair pay, and variety of focus areas.

Cons

Challenging clientele and inordinately high expectation of deferential treatment.

Advice to Management

Make more room for outside-the-box thinkers, continue to hire good people and keep out of their way.

    Pros

People think it's impressive working for the House of Commons, but in reality, it's mostly photocopying and secretarial, no matter what your title is.

    Cons

There's never really any job responsibilities that are set out - it's always fly by the seat of your pants, and hope the public doesn't complain

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to care about the workers, and not only the opinion of the canadian public. we need to eat, even if it's on taxpayer's dollars
