I worked at Parsons Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

there are several interesting projects to work on; interfacing with the client is a big part of the job. the company is employee-owned, so the retirement benefits are better than most competitors.

Cons

it's a big company and often it seems hard to be recognized, especially as a younger engineer in his first job out of college; the annual increase in pay should be more for recent grads.

Advice to Management

for recent grads, the annual increase in pay (as a percentage) should be significantly higher; it encourages people to leave.

    Pros

People and local management was great. An environment that fostered success.

    Cons

As a typical A/E firm they have a last in first out mentality unless you happen to make it into the "inner circle".

    Advice to Management

Learn how to forecast and you can maintain a steady and happy workforce.

I worked at Parsons Corporation as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, I would not accept a contract with this sorry company again.

    Cons

This company is the king of lowballing, no paperwork, not paying contractors. They had me on standby for 6 weeks. The manager kept saying I was going to get paid and approved my time. Then EXI switched Managers and the new Manager would not honor my approved time on standby. So, I did not receive any pay, or per diem, for those 6 weeks. Then 2 years later...I was to start work on a monday. I had an accident and went to the hospital unconscious. When I called later that day, they wanted me to copy my Hospital records, and the police report, to prove I had an accident. I told them all of that paperwork was none of their business. They "blackballed" my name from any EXI project.

    Advice to Management

Useless to give advice because no one will do anything.
