I worked at Parsons Corporation (More than 8 years)

Pros

Room for initiative, opportunity for travel, well known in the A/E/C world.

Cons

Not internationally respected. Lack of ethics in upper management. Do not honor (pay) contracts with a small businesses, trying to sway employees with certain political issues (via corporate memos). More and more the company seems like just an "arm" of the corrupt US government. Compensation and benefits are dwindling.

Advice to Management

Treat others as you would like to be treated

I worked at Parsons Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very large. Global. Influential in the industries it serves.

    Cons

I have seen extremely disrespectful treatment of hard working professionals, including some in positions of (supposed) power.

    Advice to Management

Get to know those who make you successful, as much as is possible. Let people know, even if through mass communications, that you know how the countless difficult tasks get completed; that they don't just "happen". And that they don't just happen because of how terrific you, yourselves, are. There are many spokes in a working wheel. And each one can be so critical if you happen to hit a bump right where "that spoke" is situated in the working wheel. Value your people!
