I worked at Paychex (More than a year)

Pros

Excellent benefits offered to all employees.

Cons

Management does not understand the importance of treating employees with respect.
There is little concern about experience or education when it comes to career advancement. Its all about who you know. Terrible hours and issue resolution management. Pay is not paid proportionatly with hours and responcbility.

I have been working at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A trip to Rochester for two weeks and the knowledge you gain for future jobs. Great benefits, PTO, holiday, and vacation are good if you are able to use it.

    Cons

Horrible management on all levels. Glorified data entry specialists with some tax knowledge. Constantly discriminated against by management. Horrible morale within the company, mainly due to management positions. And when they say you can grow, they dangle a new open position in front of you then quickly say it's not available, due to cuts.

    Advice to Management

If you considered paying your employees a reasonable, livable, and respectful salary, there would not be such a high turnover rate as you consistently see.

I worked at Paychex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Wonderful training
Similar personalities (testing makes this happen)
    Solid product line
    Good reputation

    Cons

    Tons of meetings
Unfair territory distribution, older employees may have referral sources in your territory
    Lots of paperwork
If you're an underdog, watch out

    Advice to Management

Let your employees spend more time in the field with fewer, more impactful meetings. Don't allow bullying from other sales reps force your newer reps out.
