I worked at Payden & Rygel full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities to work with very smart people. If you are fresh out of the "right" school it is a perfect opportunity to learn.

    Cons

To work with very smart people you must first navigate through the office politics that rival Washington D.C. Accept the fact that no one is your friend and there are some people that may look like employees but are actually moles reporting directly to the top. Very high school. very childish...The staff seems to have forgotten what they are there to do for the clients.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and equally concerned about all employees, no matter what their pay grade is. Get rid of the toxic employees (and please stop rewarding them for fear of any type of retribution) These people are what caused the morale to plummet.
