I have been working at Payless ShoeSource part-time (More than a year)

Pros

movie ticket contest, payless bucks, recognition in district, 30% discount, monthly 50% discount on one item.

Cons

Keeping up with conversion, sales, UPT, AND customer service simultaneously or suffer consequences !

    Pros

    You have to be extremely lucky to have a pro. A lot of the customers are very friendly. Stores close early. Off on family holidays such as thanksgiving and Christmas

    Cons

    Very disorganized. The people in charge don't seem to know much about running a business. They seemed brainwashed by upper mgmt. A lot of lip service from higher ups. A fairly easy job that's ruined by their obsession for having a high customer conversion rate, high unit per transaction and customer satisfaction scores. Promo tagging is stupid and tedious especially when you have limited payroll and obsession with the items stated above. It's very hard to have a life cause either you don't make enough to live or if you make enough you don't have much time out your store..

    Advice to Management

    You have to get rid of promo tagging! Too much busy work if you expect to be a leader in customer service. It's too hard to complete tedious tasks and provide excellent service..
