    Pros

It looks great on a resume and you get access to a huge network when you finish. It really does help you learn a lot of important skills like working in different environment, working independently, etc

    Cons

It can be very lonely and you don't get to choose where you go. It's also hard to not make any real money for a while.

I worked at Peace Corps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Experience of a lifetime, can find ways to benefit others, learn a lot about yourself

    Cons

It is often what you make of it, frustrations can lead to ineffectiveness

    Advice to Management

Though I had few complaints with my country's program, in some countries PC has a reputation for not consistently providing the promised support to volunters.
