Pros

Laid back. Great pay. Available training and certifications. Company outings. Multiple random bonuses from CEO and wife with encouraging letters and videos. (CEO is nice in video, never got to talk to him in person). SUMMARY: Hire in with as high of a salary as you can. Do all your online training as quick as possible (which is unpaid - kind of illegal when it's done on your own time, but that's neither here nor there at this point). Stay on them about training classes and promotions. Mind your own business and don't tell anyone yours. You'll be as good as gold. It's not uncommon to make $100,000+ here as a mechanic. You just need to be worth it AND in the in crowd.

Cons

Slow hiring process. Lack shop specialty tools to do job correctly/safely. Promoting and training is borderline impossible. Favoritism is very clear and evident. Dirty jokes and unproffesionalism are ok with the in-crowd but not everyone. There is way too many admin positions currently. There is a severe lack of direct communication with correction and gossip is strong. Insurance is incredibly unaffordable (It also took me 5 months and around 30 phone calls to get my life insurance approved to the original requested amount due to HR and Guardian both incorrectly filing my paperwork/EOI). The shop has gotten severely over crowded and there are no signs of recognizing or adjusting this issue (be prepared to share a bay or work outside). SUMMARY: If you get hired on and they don't hold to promoting you or sending you to class as fast as they say they would. Just leave, it's not meant to be and I promise they don't like you.
