    Negative Outlook

I worked at Pearson full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Benefits and flexibility are good.

    Cons

Low pay, short on honesty & decency, no recognition - unless a favorite of management, employee respect is low, don't expect honesty, and an element of discrimination is displayed. Too many organizational changes.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees, stop overworking them, and try to live up to the moto Pearson preaches - Honesty, Decency, and Respect!

    Pros

    Good work environment
Smart people working with you who know what they're doing
Able to take time off during slow periods

    Cons

Very tight deadlines resulted in stressful days
Not much mobility in terms of moving up or across the company to different departments

    Advice to Management

Promote more from within the company
Hire employees as full contract instead of term-of-project. The contract usually gets renewed anyway so it would be easier and more secure for employees.
