I have been working at Penguin Random House full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Good pay for factory work, even for those with little to no factory experience -Open opportunities for quick advancement -Overall workload isn't too hard

    Cons

-Upper level/manager issues in certain areas of the factory provide for an undesirable work environment -Not a place for those who do not like to work in relatively hot or cold temperatures (at least in the factory)

I worked at Penguin Random House full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company culture is great and it feels very much like the company actually cares about its employees.

    Cons

Publishing as a whole is a low-pay industry, but it feels extra insulting when working at the top publishing house in the world still doesn't pay you enough to live comfortably in NYC. Many divisions are run by bad managers that have been with the company for many years and are unwilling to change and adapt to new policies and technologies.

    Pros

Great atmosphere and overall culture. Most departments have terrific work life balance, flexible schedules, and relaxed environment. People are happy to come to work and passionate about the company mission as a whole.

    Cons

Pathetic pay for entry through mid-level employees and even bleaker career growth prospects.
