Pros

the education programs we produce and sell are excellent. Our programs change lives at a very affordable price--less than $1,000. The work environment is pleasant.

Cons

Pay is too low for the experience and quality of work I perform. Company only pays the amount paid by other local employers, rather than reward excellence. Company doesn't care if they lose good employees to employers willing to pay more.

Advice to Management

Get out of the "call center" mentality. We're not selling long distance phone service or credit card offers. Representatives are 'sales counselors' and should be compensated higher. Get out of the employee "revolving door" mentality--pay good employees a good living wage.

I have been working at Penn Foster, Inc full-time

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to grow and move up if you are a dedicated employee. Consistent company financial growth. Great coworkers. Interesting work. Very relaxed atmosphere with work from home options for certain departments. Women's Leadership, tuition reimbursement and career training.

    Cons

Pay is low when compared against industry standards.

Increase pay and hire for quality in call center.

With the exception of a few areas the office space is very dated and not optimized for collaboration and quiet spaces.

On boarding is inconsistent. Policies are outdated. Employee experience varies greatly depending on department. Culture is improving but not enough time and budget dedicated yet.

Company profits are growing significantly each year but that money is not reinvested in employees, office space, technology.

    Advice to Management

Consistent employee experiences for all departments. Increase investment in culture ( workspaces, employee development, career pathways )

Equip all departments and meeting rooms with easy to use, functional AV equipment. ( phones, TV's, whiteboards etc.. )

Functional / flexible collaboration and quiet work spaces for all types of employees.
