    Pros

Directly and indirectly you have a sense of helping employees or former employees with pension benefits continue to receive their benefits despite the employers' corporate decisions of bankruptcy or dissolved which contributes to having an adverse effect on employees pensions. Also, having the ability to work in various areas such as IT, accounting, acquisition, general counsel, etc. which allows people to float or transfer to other departments. Some people have been with PBGC for 10-20 years; so if you find your niche within this organization you can retire here. The location is ideal for commuters, people who enjoy having lunch in various places, etc. Lastly, they have a gym onsite.

    Cons

There's a lot of political plays among specific players. There's nepotism within this organization.

    Advice to Management

Don't over use the 'super stars' or you will loose them because they will be burnt out.
Remove the 'dead weight', start your paper trail and get rid of them so you can acquire folks who want to do their jobs. Make your staff perform at their grade-level; and if you encounter any resistance, use the performance plan and 120-day reviews to correct the issue.
