I have been working at Pentair full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

A legacy of good people being reduced rapidly. Older employees try to give knowledge transfer

Cons

Once every product was through the QC. One in a thousand now. Internal market and product knowledge is sliding. Upper management going for image not reality. With a first to market first to fail (regularly), Luckily a lot of legacy people (retiring or going to other companies now) are still in place but are being replaced with short term youth who see the issues and also are leaving once a good CV is in place

Advice to Management

The CEO needs to reevaluate the management below. Or, if that does not work then the board need to reevaluate the CEO. The buck stops here.
Do not blame the union or employees. Which is the current process

I worked at Pentair full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits include a 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and a discount program on many items.
Opportunities to learn about LEAN, through free online courses.

    Cons

Their goal is to pay in the bottom 25th percentile.
No work-life balance. Your life is to work for them.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees. Treat employees as your best asset instead of just saying the words. Pay a good wage for an honest days work.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Great people worked there before Pentair took over and ruined working environment.

    Cons

When Pentair took over, they are making employees interview for there own job. Also, treat people like an object not a person. It's more like working in a concentration camp.

    Advice to Management

Get real! You have a lot of talent which you will loose before you know it! Company is very top heavy.
