No opinion of CEO

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits (insurance, bonuses, stock option, 401k)
Pay rate

Cons

"Forced" overtime (they decide when you're going to work a 12 hour shift or one of your days "off". Voluntary overtime is not the same thing.
Last minute "call offs" when they have too many employees scheduled and not enough work.

Advice to Management

Hire more split-week part time packers!

I worked at PepsiCo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

At first a wonderful "family environment" offered....allowing me to bring my child to work on vacation days or school snow days...but after 3 days within a 2 month period...told could not bring child with me to work anymore,...?

    Cons

My contract through a Vendor was shortened much more than was promised and I was left high and dry with no job at the end of the contract. My belongings were sent to me in a box and i felt embarrassed, ashamed and violated and lied to.

    Advice to Management

If you value you employees you need to do good by them and reward them for their efforts and treat others as you would have them do to you! You don't fire of dismiss them after only a few months of service when they are promised the job for a much longer duration. My job ending me so soon left my family in financial crisis where I cannot even qualify for unemployment and I left a regular full time job of 6 monthss, for this opportunity to work as temp through Volt Agency only to be dismissed only 5 months later and left totally unemployed, without ANY INCOME.
