I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can make okay money without a college degree

    Cons

Ridiculous hours, Unqualified managers with attitudes. No reward for working hard except that you will be expected to do better next quarter.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to figure out how to help RSRs out more. They need more help in the field and more incentive to work 60-70 hours a week. Management needs to realize you can only squeeze so much labor out of a person.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

can make good money starting out

    Cons

I recently took a 25%+ paycut with frito lay. This is after I finished my college degree to try and move up. However, those spots are for "who you know" people and brown-nosers. They do however offer a wage guarantee, but this guarantee is only received if you sell the $ that that want you to, which in turn is a bonus and not a actual guarantee. I have worked with this company for over 10 years and it has progressively gotten worse. You are not recommended to advance your position if you start out as a route salesman, but they would not hesitate to hire someone right out of college, with no working/management experience, to put in charge. Your Zone Sales Leader changes every 4-5 years and each time gets worse.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within before hiring college graduates with no management experience
