I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

good pay, not too much management watching over you all day.

Cons

poor management, and dishonest. do anything to get sales. managers lie and disregard policies and safety in order to get their sales numbers.

Advice to Management

follow policies and union contract, and stop reengineering route every year, and dont complain about stale product that you force the rsr to sell. they know their accounts and know what product will sell there. If they have a chance to learn the routes before they change there would be significant sales growth.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Average pay, around 45k annual in a rural area.
Calling in sick is frowned on but possible. It is a serious business place to work and not for one whom might want to play hooky or skip on responsibilities.
For retail work it pays far above average.
Great medical vision dental, tuition and retirement benefits.

    Cons

Hard to get route covered when sick or to take a sudden day off.
Stores can be demanding and challenging. It takes patience and perseverance.
Work can be physically demanding a
At times long hours are needed to be out in.
You do not have a set time to get off, and on the same token, you do not have a set time to start the day.
The rule of the trade is to own your business take care of issues that day and grow your business while maintaining healthy business relationships with accounts.

    Advice to Management

Better pay raises or compensate people that have been working longer. It is odd that a employee that has been working hard for ten years makes the same as someone who puts the Pepsi uniform on the first day.
