I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

My position allows a significant amount of flexibility, good pay

Cons

Benefits have diminished in the 5+ years I have been here
In my experience, managers could care less about you as a person and just you making them look good
Not very a inspirational product, as our products are the exact opposite of healthy

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people at the bottling, market unit level. Most of the unit managers where great to work with and our pricing coordinator was the best!!! Also when I worked there it was not as high pressured sales as companies I have worked at after leaving Pepsi. When you had a performance review it was not black and white...not all about the numbers. It also had to do with how hard you worked, contributions to the team (i.e. training, mentoring, etc.) This was the way all companies should judge employees. It's not ONLY about the numbers.

    Cons

Working in the very busy metropolitan market unit deliveries were a daily issue that I received calls about. Traffic, drivers calling out, supervisors not holding them accountable, took away from my time to sell. Working for a DSD company it seems like you wind up fielding delivery issues all day long instead of calling on customers. You are not compensated enough for the amount of hours a day you work when you are salary.

    Advice to Management

Compensate the sales force appropriately so that you keep the good ones!

I have been working at PepsiCo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Good pay with a lot of hours and overtime. You won't be poor working here.

-Work is easy, and kind of fun.

    Cons

-Incompetent management and lack of employee supervision. Frito is very much a prison run by the inmates.

    -Promotes child obesity.

    Advice to Management

You people aren't being paid to watch Youtube. Make sure your employees are working and that they have the supplies they need to function. We have new guys who are holding their scanners in their pockets and taping the lasers to their fingers. It's pathetic how careless you people are.
