I have been working at PerkinElmer full-time

    Pros

Great PKI people, innovative scientists and marketing people who listen.

    Cons

After aquisition of Caliper in Nov.2011 management went into "CYA" mode, and even now, a year later, many of us are even more unsure of our future or our direction. Many of us lost products to other divisions and we have shrinking bags of products to sell to our customers and less support. Many look at a large company like PerkinElmer as a solid place to land. I am not so sure anymore.

    Advice to Management

This is a good time to reassure your teams. Let us know what we are doing right, and how we can improve to retain our job in 2013. I have no doubt several of your reports are updating their resumes.
