    Pros

    - People Team is very dedicated to employee career happiness, from diversity & inclusion efforts to diverse guest speaker talks to professional development - The Employee Enrichment Fund. $1000 to spend on classes for personal enjoyment or professional development - Employees are expected to perform their best, and are rewarded for it - Leadership is transparent and deeply values employee contributions - Flexible remote work policy + empathetic and thoughtful handling by leadership of setting expectations for Covid-related issues like returning to the office - And last but not least, the product works!

    Cons

    - Can feel like a lot of pressure for those who are not used to a high performance culture - There is a lot to learn and it can take a long time to become confident in your role. Lots of folks have been working here for many many years. It can feel intimidating when you are “green” - It gets overwhelmingly busy sometimes. It can be hard to take time for yourself or set boundaries because of the team player atmosphere

    Pros

    1) Unique and leading-edge platform that provides meaningful value and ROI to clients, 2) Established use-cases across all Industry verticals, with a "start-up" feel and approach to growing the business, 3) Investing for the future through people and process, including major investments in sales, customer success and marketing, 4) Every company and government agency wants to leverage their data to grow their business, and improve CX and operational efficiencies. Persado's AI, NLG and ML enhance platform is a perfect match!

    Pros

    The product works well but still needs development

    Cons

    Persado has a very racist culture. The leadership was all-white and primarily male for the majority of its existence despite minorities in the workforce bringing up how this was oppressive. Despite knowing they needed diversity, the leadership continued to only hire white men when there was an opening in C-Suite. It was only after the BLM movement in 2020 that leadership finally decided to hire one person of color (despite having multiple openings in C-Suite. One POC was obviously more than they could handle). When being pushed on why diversity was not a priority, leadership blamed POC for not being qualified instead of addressing their insane levels of racism. Persado leadership relies on personality tests for their "objectivity" instead of reflecting on why they never care about hiring POC in leadership positions. Don't believe them when they say they care about diversity.

While we certainly have more work to do, Persado has made outstanding progress in our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts over the past 2+ years -- thanks to the commitment of our CEO and executive team through a huge investment in DEI programming, resources, and initiatives. From hiring a Head of DEI ... to enhancing our recruitment marketing efforts (including hiring a sourcer/recruiter focused on Diversity hiring) ... to partnering with Bryq to ensure bias-free hiring ... to providing DEI/anti-harassment (and more!) training ... to building a robust calendar of programs and events focused on DEI (including six Employee Resource Groups) -- we are proud of all we have done and will continue to do to ensure we can attract, hire and retain a diverse workforce! Persado is absolutely committed to fostering a supportive, equitable, and inclusive work environment for all. This is evident through our employee engagement survey where Persadoans consistently rate our DEI efforts at 95%. We are not interested in quick fixes, or checking boxes to "show" change. We are working hard to contribute to permanent, systematic, overarching change -- and this will take time. It is my priority to make Persado a place where everyone feels included.
