Pros

The company has a fantastic lead drug candidate that should be a blockbuster. The organization is still pretty small (a little over 100 people) so you can make a big impact, great for career development. Most people are very friendly and easy to work with. Generally a great place to work.

Cons

Management seems to be very into status symbols and making sure staff knows its place. A lot of effort has gone into making executive offices nicer than others with special glass and chairs that others can't have. This creates a have vs. have-not mentality that is not good for morale. A real shame since this takes away from so many positives the company has.

Advice to Management

Remember you are successful due to the hard work of all the people that work for you. When you lavish yourselves with lots of extras, it damages morale in ways that are very hard to repair. The more you can provide the same benefits to everyone, the better it will be.

    "Quality"

    Pros

The company was bought by Abbvie therefore giving some sort of soul. The company still has some backwards thinking due to a few old employees who operate on rumors and hiring family members and or one race .

    Cons

They offer zero room for development . There is no true culture no learning program . They do not have a true Quality systems program . There is no collaboration and it's interesting they are one of the few biotech firms to have a Quality and Manufacturing director combined . Unfortunately racism and nepotism runs deep at this location ; constantly recruiters call about Quality roles open there however nobody gets placed if they don't fit a certain race . They haze Contractors and have managers in place who have a hard time understanding their roles .

    Advice to Management

Get new senior managers ; in fact get rid
    of your senior managers too.

    Cons

lock of transparency, mid-level manager is not so support the subordinates to grow/develop, zero skill on managing people; lock of work-life balance

    Advice to Management

Please promote the one who has true leadership and talent in managing people to become manager. Those who done well at their work are not necessary good managers.
