    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Phelps Dunbar for more than 5 years

    Pros

Big name firm with a great reputation, a good place to gain varied experience right out of law school, competitive starting salary

    Cons

Very cut-throat with little incentive to go "above and beyond" because you are constantly reminded that making partner is almost impossible, salary plateaus as soon as you start, unknown and arbitrary bonus structure.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more transparent, show more appreciation to the associates, and try to incentivize productivity
