Unless you live in India, Poland, or Panama, you have ZERO job security with Philips. It is widely known and spoken about by Leadership - exact words "The company is not performing as well as it should and therefore cost control is vital if Philips wants to continue to deliver solutions to our customers at "affordable prices". - compensation is fair
- benefits are good (health, 401k, company store etc...)
Cons
- abysmal role-based training
- poor training on project-lifecycle and processes
- product/solution being sold and implemented is very niche; takes a long time and a lot of exposure to understand it thoroughly; however, you are sat in front of the customer to be the SME on already time-constrained projects
- time-writing process is a nightmare, takes up too much time and is too archaic to get right
- PMs and others appear to be overburdened with multiple projects and random one-offs that it's a free-for-all in terms of tracking progress and responsibilities
- morale throughout the organization - specifically with the FSEs and TCs - is diminishing
- no clear career path
