I have been working at Phoenix Children's Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great Mission
PTO policy
Benefits
Location
Great Clinical staff

Cons

No room for Advancement
Political
Leadership
Lack of Discipline

Advice to Management

Hire talented and educated people to the leadership team. Many directors don't even have basic educational qualifications to manage their team. Try to hire people with good industry experience.

Retain the employees who contribute the most to the organization. Politics at the leadership level is discouraging and demotivating to many employees. The organization is young and has a huge potential to become one of the magnet hospitals in the southwest region.

I have been working at Phoenix Children's Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great experience. Lots of room for advancement; Very very nice benefits...Team effort is what keeps the individual units strong! The patient population you work with and their individual families make each working day a very rewarding one!

    Cons

Pay is very substandard compared to the other valley hospitals in spite of your speciality.

    Advice to Management

Look at the dedication of the nurses...appreciate them by taking time to listen to them and more so, adjust pay appropriately or else you'll keep loosing the good ones whom so much resources have been invested in....
