I worked at Physicians United Plan full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great atmosphere, good people to work with, location was close to my home, mgmt actually listened to ideas of underlings. Get together's outside of work really helped with morale

Cons

Pay was less than the average, not enough staff to handle current workload, let the PMs do their jobs and make sure they understand what their job is, a lot of confusion happens over this

Advice to Management

make sure you have enough people to handle the projects on the slate. Get up to speed with the current pay rates

I have been working at Physicians United Plan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very family oriented with a great network of people. Physicians United Plan (PUP) is a growing company with many opportunities for advancement if you have the right skills. The company is really expanding its network in the Florida area. The CEO is very passionate about the company and can motivate anyone!

    Cons

Depending on the department you are in, your schedule may not be as flexible as you like. There is a lack of quality trainers to help develop people. The company needs to invest more on developing the skills of the staff and lacks any type of program to help or assist those that which to further their education. The company does not have a matching 401K program and lacks the resources that bigger companies make available to employees.

    Advice to Management

Mistakes happen...play more of a roll in training and developing people. Have more resources available to employees and spend more time training and developing. The HR Department is not very employee friendly when it comes to issues so this should be addressed.
