Pros

They do offer in service training that is very good. 401k matching is good. Benefits are good.

Cons

Lots of back stabbing by middle management, HR support is non existent or biases. If you try to transfer, your requests are denied. The management enjoys making the sub contractor base fail. Turnover is high, those that stay, do so because they need the job.

Advice to Management

Upper management needs to know more about what is happening in the field. Pay more attention to the construction side of the business, yes property management is important, but without the construction side of the house you would not have a product to manage. The company offers a good service to our soldiers but certain bases are a world onto themselves and not in step with the rest of the company.

I worked at Picerne Military Housing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working for the men and women of the Army was a very fullfilling job. It gave me an oppurtunity to give back to those service members and their spouces.

    Cons

It was very time demanding, not leaving much room for work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

It wouldnt hurt to make oncall duties easier on the maintenance staff.

I worked at Picerne Military Housing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, pretty fair monetary incentives, aesthetic offices, secure working environments.

    Cons

Office leadership often lacks experience or training necessary to function effectively in a military setting. It seems that lower and mid-level management are invited to seek alternative employment if they ask questions related to ethical or operational standards.

    Advice to Management

Fix the disconnects between local management and the corporate hierarchy. Floors should not be made of eggshells.
