Pros

The only pro at Pinnacle is your fellow "minions" and the weekly dog visits.

Cons

Pinnacle, Pinnacle, Pinnacle....where to start. All of the reviews are true, this place is a cesspool, RUN!!! There is reason as to why all of your employees are leaving or looking to leave! When I first started, upper management was pleasant, friendly and trustworthy. Then a few of the really good managers left and things turned for the worse. Let's just say if you're not part of the "Old Boy's Club" you're of no value to them so women and minorities need not apply! I'd also like to take a minute to discuss the extreme nepotism that Pinnacle exudes. You would think that in any successful business plan they would want to promote from within to impact employee morale and to prevent lower training costs. Instead, Pinnacle thought it would be wise to hire someone's wife to work directly under her husband. Now, I know I'm "just a woman" but why would you create an environment that is demoralizing to your current employees? And an even bigger question is why does the C-Level Executives allow it? Let's be real, it's not like any of their friends or family members actually contribute to the greater good! I could go on but why waste my time, as I'm sure this post will be taken down soon after I press submit in order for them to save face. Or someone will reply saying I'm simply a 'disgruntled employee and I am not a true representative of the culture'. In summation, if you thrive in the above mentioned atmosphere you are probably a terrible person and Pinnacle is just the place for you. But for those of you who are looking for or simply take pride in working for a moral and ethical company, this is not the place for you and I recommend to keep searching! To the current amazing Pinnacle employees, you are worth more than they will ever tell you and you deserve better! Thank you for being the only positive thing to look forward to during my tenure there. PS, your coffee sucks.

We appreciate all feedback and the time and energy spent to reflect upon your time at Pinnacle. While we would like to point out that six of the thirteen members of the Executive team are female and the above referenced new hire possessed over 15 years experience, we would have welcomed such a conversation during your tenure versus after. We wish you the utmost success on your future endeavors.

Pros

Most of the people who work for Pinnacle are fantastic, outside of the upper management. You’ll make great relationships with team members, but that is about all.

Cons

Upper management and leadership are absolutely abysmal, and Pinnacle is truly a mean girls’ club. The company is being led by clueless managers that are in non-stop meetings about god knows what leading them to be so incredibly out of touch with their employees and the promo industry as a whole that they are not able to preform the tasks that they ask of their employees. Employees are not allowed to have opinions and are not heard in any way with decisions being solely made by upper management with no input or consideration of the people they affect. The majority of the directors have an inclusive “mean girl” style vibe and gang up on any new hires they deem unworthy or as someone who could possibly change and improve the lackluster policies they developed previously (aka incredibly large and fragile egos). Employees are not valued, everyone is solely a body to make the company money and to hit the numbers, it doesn’t matter who you are or what unique and qualifying abilities you bring to the table - if you don’t fall in line, you’re out. If your ideal role is fitting into upper management’s idea of the mold and being anything being unique and creative, this is the place for you. Want a commission report, which is industry standard for pretty much any sales job? Forget about it, or get told over and over for years “we’re looking into it” or “we’ll get back to you about that”. Would you like to truly take off the PTO you requested and not have to keep your email open all day to make sure everything is running smoothly while you are away? How dare you, that is way too much to ask. You will never truly have a full day off unless you disappear to another country with zero means of communication. The lack of support due to severe understaffing or qualified support will ensure you never get a full day off. Want an environment that supports department to department collaboration and embraces the moto “teamwork makes the dream work”? Not here. Pinnacle has created a truly unique environment that not only pressures the sales team to compete with all other promo companies in the industry, but sales also has to compete internally with other departments with zero incentive to work together or collaborate to grow the business. Want benefits or incentives to hit goals? Lol. They have all been stripped away little by little, or fall short of the false promises made. The only small sales incentive of “president’s club” trips have never actually happened, commission rates have been reduced, and sales opportunities have been stripped and given to “new” departments. My only advice is to take a job literally any where else.
