Pros

A lot to explore in terms of work, can go beyond the job and figure out various areas of interest ( not talkig of software engineers, i was in HR)

Cons

It can be a little dull to start off with. Location maybe an issue for some

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time

    Pros

    For me, close to home

    Cons

The company likes to restructure on a particularly regular basis. This leads to a constant fear that your role may be removed. Unfortunately for some (not myself), this was the case.

The company is extremely cliquey and ONLY people within the clique will succeed, regardless of talent.

Low pay...qith pay rises of abou 1% to 3% (and this is when the company was doing well)

Antequated technology in a changing world.

    Advice to Management

    Look beyond the cliquey group.
Restructuring is self defeating when it's annual!

    Pros

Work/Life balance, in terms of flexible work options.

    Cons

Benefits are virtually non existent in Canada if you are a single income household and they took away sick days. Field service employees are being asked to become administrators. they don't let them focus on what they do best. "Fix machines and keep customers happy"
The company does not utilize their own products that can be easily used to manage shipping and CRM. To my knowledge they do not even utilize products developed/sold by their software division to get location based intelligence.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to realize growth by cutting losses and not cutting costs.
They have implemented a parts inventory management system (Servigistics) that is costing a lot more in shipping and frustration among field service employees.
