I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Pays well, decent benefits, pretty flexible work schedule, great co-workers

Cons

Continuous layoffs (they got rid of the fat a long time ago, so now every cut is into the muscle),
very hard to get promoted unless you jump business units at a minimum,
PB are the leaders of a dying industry,
management jumps all over to the crisis of moment or big idea of the day - haven't figured out where to take the company next,
don't count on bonuses - they are based on company performance measured against unrealistic goals & they grade on a curve so even if everyone in a group are A players, have to be 1's/2's, 3's and 4's/5's

Advice to Management

Look at products on the shelf created by old AC&T, stop trying to make numbers through layoffs, soon there won't be anyone left.

I have been working at Pitney Bowes full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pitney Bowes offers its employees an impressive benefit package including generous time off. Opportunities to be an agile or home agent exist.

    Cons

Wages are kept at a minimum. As a 10 year employee, 5 of those years there has been a salary freeze so wages are lacking compared to new hires. There has been no attempt to re-balance wages as a result of these freezes.

    Advice to Management

If Pitney Bowes values hard-working, self-directed employees, they need to provide opportunities for growth and career advancement to those that have education and experience. Promoting staff without these qualifications because they will tow the line, is deflating to those employees working towards improvement on a personal and professional level.

Good work life balance, but with exceptions.

    Cons
