I worked at Polycom full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

They developed really good VOIP phones. The people were great. We had a very productive team. There were some really nice parties.

Cons

The stock prices tanked, they transferred the development and testing of our phones to India, resulting in all of us being laid off.

I worked at Polycom full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good working environment, challenging products, nice roadmap,

    Cons

I can't find any negative at this company. Only thing - how it takes on big competitors (like Cisco) and new startups in this industry?

    Advice to Management

    Upper management is reasonably well.

I have been working at Polycom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Still good products
    Weak competition
Sales force is absolutely free at what to sell, how to sell etc.
    Good compensation package

    Cons

Toughest management pressure I'v ever seen. Cisco is a mediterranian resort compared to PLCM
No attention to employee needs.. New product policy leads to company degradation.
Focus only at short term targets.Company slogan can be "Next quarter does not exist".
Seems that company has two-three years than it will be sold.

    Advice to Management

Weaken pressure and focus on strategy.
