I worked at Potbelly Sandwich Works part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Fun work environment, good overall environment with occasional live music. A good store manager makes all the difference in the world.

Cons

Terrible upper management (at corporate level). They are very detached, seem to make impulse decisions and implement these new plans or products without actually doing any research.

Advice to Management

Alwin Lewis is a joke. Company going downhill ever since he became CEO

I worked at Potbelly Sandwich Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly customers. Friendly co-workers. Company organized events outside of the shop. Low stress. Seriously if you think this job is stressful then the real world is going to rip you to shreds.

    Cons

Not having any mats to stand on. As a prep-associate my knees really started to take a beating after having to stand for hours on the hard tile five days a week. Also, a second slicer would have been nice.

    Advice to Management

Don't promise people a management position during an interview based on the fact they were a manager somewhere else. Those people usual suck the most and refuse to learn the job properly.

I have been working at Potbelly Sandwich Works full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fairly easy work
    Free meal every day
    Fun co-workers and employees

    Cons

    Rarely get raises
Takes back promotions for no reason other than "you look too young for your age"
Never could land a higher position within the company, they do not promote from within much.
