Approves of CEO

I have been working at Power-One full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Finally did something to change Phoenix leadership.

Cons

Hired a workaholic, turnaround guy for a site that has been in existence for less than 2 years. Looks to build a team whos schedule he can abuse. They will loose the group who held it together while the last leaders drove it to the ground.

Advice to Management

Slow down, this is the US. We want manufacturing jobs here in the US. Treat your people right.

    I worked at Power-One full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful campus with extremely hard working individuals, with some who are truly talented and committed to making a go of it. Many opportunities for improvement.

    Cons

Priorities are unclear so people are running in too many directions at once trying to plug the holes.
The atmosphere is stifling and it is difficult to find anyone optimistic about working there.
    Processes and procedures are non-existent.
Management doesn't seem to have a vision how to fix the issues (locally and corporate).

    Advice to Management

Get focused and set priorities. Not everything can be done at once and not everything has to be done today.

    Pros

Individuals are hard working & want to do the best job.

    Cons

Long hours - no time off.
No training exists - you are thrown in and managment then wonders why product quality is so low.
Growth is based upon who you know not what you know. The "Good Ol Boys" network.
Sr management demonstrates inappropriate behavior & HR supports it.

    Advice to Management

Remove all Sr management in Phoenix and start over with leaders who lead by example & knowledge not threat of your job.
