Negative Outlook

I have been working at PowerMyLearning full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The people you meet are great here.
We have a very fun office environment.
There is variety that can be found in work so you aren't bored with doing the same task day in and day out.
Fairly diverse staff.
Regular professional development.

Cons

Micromanaging and poor leadership skills.
High turnover - you are ALWAYS in the process of training SOMEONE because people transition out of the organization fairly regularly.
Lack of advancement opportunities.
HR department and procedures need to be refined.

Advice to Management

Create an atmosphere that people would like to stay for at least a year.
Learn to individualize your interactions with different people. It isn't one size fits all.
Don't be afraid or deter anyone else from pointing out the problems in the organization. Find a way or study methodologies that speak to resolving the issues.

    Pros

The staff is young and lively and the purpose of CFY is a great, it is lovely to see the parents involved in their child's education.

    Cons

CFY is very segregated between PT and FT staff.ex. the food is separated by putting FT/PT on food. FT have red shirts PT have orange(notice colors chosen-red is dominant).Pay dates unfair for PT we only get paid for Fridays, some PT doesn't work fridays&when we do it is 3hrs. Missing money on pay dates on several occasions.

    Advice to Management

Reconsider the way FT treat PT, there are many times where PMs and PCs are talking about PT staff behind their backs, roll their eyes, have sarcastic tones, speak as if we were their children, and also laugh at PT staff in staff room. We all work for CFY there should not be such a separation or animosity between PT/FT.
