I worked at Preferred Apartment Communities full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Beautiful properties and great attention to detail!

    Cons

Very heavy emphasis on "who you know" to get promoted versus working hard.

I have been working at Preferred Apartment Communities full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Wonderful benefits, family comes first, understanding owners with better than average pay for my position.

    Cons

Better training programs could be in place as well as a policy and procedures manual that is set in stone for all properties

I have been working at Preferred Apartment Communities full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary, great places to work, and great clothes to wear. You can make great money on a lease-up.

    Cons

All clothes must be black and white! Hard to get a promotion into corporate most jobs are giving to friends and young college kids. ( Friends of the owner kids) Better training ( grace hill sucks), benefits or just Ok, could be better .

    Advice to Management

Hire and promote the good jobs to everyone. Let's wear more than black and white. Due more team building/training as a group vs using just Grace Hill. Employee family day ( we have kids)
