Pros

- decent base salary - got lucky with very good manager who doesn’t micromanage but offers support when needed - great office spaces in CT and Empire State Building - lunch offered on-site at offices - employee discounts on hotels and flights - company parties with awesome gifts - lean organization that doesn’t overhire like other mass corporations - love that Brett shows his face frequently around the offices to chat and get to know employees. Many CEOS exhibit holier than thou tendencies and don’t visit their frontline workers or care enough to build rapport. Hope Brett continues to visit the offices and meet many employees in person

Cons

- being inflexible with enforcing hybrid work instead of encouraging collaboration (requirement vs encouragement garners more results and gives your employees choice - the Empire State Building is an awesome office with great views and a comfortable place to work if there is more space to do so, it’s just that being forced to come in twice a week is unpleasant. If this hybrid requirement is removed, many people would still love to come in to collaborate with team and simply working at the Empire State. ) - The AST team could use some work on faster SLA. Hotel partners complain frequently about the quality of resolution as well as slow SLA - NYC office space is limited to share at Empire State Building, office is always overflowing on certain days and there isn’t enough space to conduct meetings or work comfortably vs. at home. - only 18 days of PTO and a Priceline pause week was taken away that was toward end of the year - Hotel partners need a better informational onboarding so that they understand the Priceline business model instead of shutting off availability because they do not understand the Priceline platform

We're glad to hear you are enjoying so many aspects of working here, including the competitive salary, supportive management, great office spaces, and employee discounts. It’s also wonderful to hear that you appreciate our CEO’s leadership and his visits to our offices around the world. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on our updated hybrid working model, which requires employees to be in the office two days a week. This decision was driven by several considerations, including enhanced collaboration and communication, to reignite and enhance our company culture, and to provide more networking and development opportunities for our employees. We're aware of the space limitations in our NYC office and are actively exploring ways to obtain more space. Your feedback on the AST team's response times and hotel partner onboarding is valuable, and we are committed to improving these areas to better serve our partners and enhance our operations. If you have more specific suggestions or would like to discuss any issues further, please feel free to reach out to your Manager or HR Business Partner.

Pros

- Back to office minimum is 2 days a week which in NY is very good - Solid and stable company, lean and profitable in Booking Holdings - Opportunity to work on many topics - Good culture amongst peers and colleagues. I've found people very helpful and collaborative. - daily catered lunch in office

Cons

- Being lean means prioritizing ruthlessly, so sometimes initiatives will have to go the backlog - I did find that a lot of people take on more than their JD (there's amazing accountability), which also means that people can be very busy.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the flexibility of our hybrid model, the collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of projects. You’re right that we operate with a lean approach - it’s something we monitor closely to make sure teams have what they need to succeed. We ask teams to stay focused on the work that will have the biggest impact, and that sometimes means making tough prioritization decisions. If day-to-day priorities ever feel unclear, we encourage employees to partner with their Manager to help align on focus areas and impact. Thanks again for the feedback and for being part of the Priceline team!

Pros

The working staff is tremendous, collegial and collaborative. While there are always going to be a few self-important jerks gumming things up, most people work really hard to push through them and make the working environment positive. Most line and mid-level managers work hard to help employees succeed. Team and individual successes are celebrated

Cons

Too many projects and not enough people to build, test and support them all. Staff is spread thin. Many projects seem to be pet projects of certain people, without clear business outcomes that improve revenue/sales. Prioritization requires resource decisions and that's been challenging. There's been a leadership change and that will help so long as the new leadership prioritizes what's important and moves people into the high-impact areas. I think the new CEO has a chance to be a great one!
