Pros

More honest than most auto dealers.
Fair to employees and customers.
Company strives to be a leader in the market.

Cons

Long hours, weekends, holidays, no different than most other auto dealers.
Most people treat auto salesman like they're time is unimportant.

Advice to Management

Keeping the work place a fun and positive environment is key to auto sales in my opinion. It's very easy for the reps to get negative, levity helps keep them happy and in the mood to bring that excitement to the clients.

I worked at Prime Motor Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - pay is SLIGHTLY more than other kinds of companies.
    - plenty of opportunity for overtime

    Cons

    - Greedy. Continuing to open new stores but won't put money or attention into things that need to be fixed or changed in current stores.
    - Management gets bigger, everyone else gets smaller. Never felt appreciated or important or like I could truly excel.
    - Sloppy work from management. They truly act like they only care about getting paid. "Hourlys" are constantly fixing their mistakes and cleaning up messes, literally.
    - There seems to be hardly any thought process behind huge decisions.
    - Service puts employees last.
    - No efforts from management to help with problems after they made money.
    - Up-selling and add-ons have gotten out of control.
    - Heavy advertising with no preparation to handle the amount of customers that end up coming in. (They got the customer there, and they'll pay us, so who cares about anything else?)
    - Continuously trying to train employees to talk like robots to customers and making them use ridiculous, unrealistic techniques.
    - Surveys are unfair and make no sense. Someone will score an 8.5 and comment on how great we were but someone will get in trouble because it's not a 10.
    - Favoritism
    - The place is filthy. You could walk by the same dead ant for a year.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to things that are going on outside your office. Listen to employee suggestions. We're the ones on the floor everyday, talking to customers and seeing everything else that happens.
Also, look at all these reviews...there seems to be a common problem- careless management.
