I worked at Privalia full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Office culture. Team mates. Nice environment.

Cons

Management: wrong and conservative decisions. Some critical managers: IT, auditing and others are not professional enough.

I worked at Privalia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company benefits (health Insurance, discounts, language classes...)
    Cool and modern workplace.
Good place to learn and understand the e-commerce market
Good corporate values (at list on the paper…)

    Cons

    Toxic environment
    Extreme workload
    Overtime is not paid.
    Low salary
    Narcissistic leadership
    Bad and obsolete management
    Completely disorganized
    No teleworking
    Primitive technology (excel and spreadsheets…)
    Bad work–life balance
The Privalia's management culture assume that true dedication means the employees (commonly called "Privalios") are never off the clock – in reality, this inability to leave work behind yields only inefficiency and emotional burnout.

    Advice to Management

    Improve planning, coordination and communication.

Learn to group topics and optimize meetings,

Remind which are the core company values and try challenging yourself every day to ensure they get truly accomplished.

Push higher management to implement new emerging technologies.

Encourage your folks to get the mental refreshment, respecting their brakes and leaving the office on time.

I have been working at Privalia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good People.
Good offices (Unless you are in the supplementary office).
    Good Benefits.
    Good culture values.

    Cons

    Bad enterprise organization.
    Business rules.
    Legacy.
If the team does not do the job correctly, it's team's fault, not organization.
No Scrum. There is only 1 "scrum" in the company.

Salary it's ok, but it could be better based on company annual earnings.

    Not paid extra hours.
    No teleworking.
There are good culture values, yes, but there aren't managers that fit with them.

    Advice to Management

Privalia has been an Startup. As an Startup, there is Legacy Code.
Now, Privalia, is not an Startup. Please, consider the advices of the developers and let them the time to change all Legacy Code to a mantainable code, so it won't be frustrating to develop.

Also, the Business it's dictating when and how. This causes the developers to leave the company.

A few months ago, there were 5 Scrums. Now, 1. Why? You should think...
