Cut the fat - but offer more versatility in career plans and opportunities for promotions even when taking risky lateral moves.

    1. Nice starting salary
    2. Global projects
    3. Nice people
    4. Some work-life balance, work arrangements flexibility
    5. Adequate management (generally)

    Cons

    1. Huge inertion due to company size
    2. Cost-saving program that is currently realized
    3. Productivity pressure - people start to get overworked
    4. Shrinking importance of service functions - will cause problems in the future
    5. Management hypocrisy, as in all corporations (e.g. awesome new Flex @ work program, when in reality there is not much behind it). Generally tend to present things as if they were much more than they really are.

    Advice to Management

    Do something about company scale - inertion arising as a result is too large
