    Pros

Large, stable company that is highly respected in its field. Great training for employees and excellent benefits. I've also been told that it's a great resume builder and one can "go anywhere" after spending some time first at P&G.

    Cons

Bureaucratic at times. Very process oriented company which can stifle spontaneity and out of the box thinking. Some ideas can't be fully supported by tons of data. In addition, different businesses require different skills and more effort should be made to bring in people that can provide different viewpoints rather than reinforce the status quo.

    Advice to Management

Have monthly meetings with the "lower level" employees to hear unfiltered feedback. The employees on the lower rungs are usually the ones closest to the action and have the best pulse on the market.

    Pros

One of the best FMCG companies to work for. Significant opportunities to learn and grow in the early career. salary and benefits are very competitive. Work environment is comfortable. Company spends significant amount to insure minimum disruption to life of the employee when in transfer or relocation. Despite the huge size, growth and profits continue to grow. Highest level leadership is in tune with forces shaping the future of business.

    Cons

Easy to get pigeonholed into a particular role unless one makes persistent efforts to convince managers for a change in role. Minorities can have a challenging time proving themselves in the mid-west centric culture.

    Advice to Management

Hold the middle managers seriously accountable for growth of their employees. Many older middle managers are seeking status quo and want to coast to golden retirement and stop growing their employees. Too many layers for decision making.
